I have only been wearing these for 2 full weeks so I want to come back and revisit this review in a few months but here are some initial observations:Upon unboxing the look of the boots was impressive. I do think the shaft leather could be twice as thick, but it isn't necessarily flimsy, just thinner than I would choose if I were making my own. The lower part of the boot is quite sturdy. There is a slight flaw in the manufacture of the bead that runs between the outsole and the lower part of the boot. The bead doesn't quite lay flush at the ends on one boot as it does on the other but it honestly looks like it was one of those situations where the materials wasn't cooperating the way it should have and the best was made out of a less than ideal situation. It hasn't affected the performance of the boot so far and I would consider it cosmetic. Upon first try on, they were noticeably more comfortable than the tennis shoes I had worn to work that day and did not make my feet hurt worse than they did already. There is a good breakover at the ball of your foot so the boot rolls nicely as you walk. The tread is quite aggressive and has been greatly appreciated with how sloppy the kud has been as it thaws here.I did do two applications of mink oil before working in them to make sure they had been water proofed. I would definitely recommend that or mink oil or something similar as the leather sucked it right up. I will probably be applying a waxy shoe polish to increase the longevity of the waterproofing and to provide a bit of shine as the leather is a dull finish - which is fine.I wear a women's 10 and a men's 8 and ordered the 8 wide after measuring my feet. I put the flat insole provided with the boots (they also come with a high arch insole) in as a base and a Dr. Scholls high impact insole on top of that. Combining the two took up the extra space in foot of the boot. They are quite comfortable with plenty of room in the toe box; a gripe I tend to have with steel toes. The shaft of the boot is much to large in circumference but I figured that going into buying these and am not bothered by it. I wear long boot socks and the extra room allows for wool or doubled socks in the winter or to tuck my jeans into. These have been extremely comfortable to wear while at work. I walk on slick concrete for 6h/day and regularly get in 8500+ steps. The breakover really helps and the softness of the boot shaft in combination with the tall socks means there hasn't been any rubbing or bruising or break in period. Even though there is a little more room at the heel than I usually prefer, I have not developed blisters or soreness. I am slightly concerned that I may wear through the leather patch there so may glue in my own over top of it to proved an extra layer of protection and grip. Again, this is not a flaw in the boot itself and more that I bought men's boots because none of the reviews on women's work boots were positive enough to trust the craftsmanship or longevity of the boots. If I had a complaint it would be that they are slightly heavy. However, they're a) a solidly constructed steel toe boot and b) I am transitioning to wearing these from wearing a much lighter pair of Sketchers tennis shoes. I think in another week or two I will be used to the weight just fine. My feet do still hurt at the end of my day but again, I'm walking for nearly 6h straight on concrete and I'm a solid 200lbs. If they stay as comfortable as they are now (while changing insoles as needed) and last me at least a year, I will be extremely happy with my purchase and more than willing to replace them with the same boot.I also want to be sure to mention that I paid extra to have these shipped to me in 2 days so I could have them for my next work shift. Something happened on UPS's end and I didn't receive them on time. I emailed Cebu about it and they refunded my shipping without a fuss. I really appreciated their prompt and kind response. So far I am quite pleased and look forward to updating you all.
