Comfortable work boots.Good support on the feet.Very durable boots. These boots are exactly what I was looking for! I was worried they’d have the white stitching like some of the photos showed, but they are all black (stitching and all). They’re just like normal cowboy boots, but with a rubber sole which is what I needed to not go sliding around while at work. I have my first shift tomorrow in them and I hope they stay 5 stars! They hold up well to a restruant and bar setting. They are comfy when ever you wear them for 14 hours straight. The boot looks good and the overall fit is pretty good but i gave 4 stars instead of 5 because for some reason these boots TEAR UP my plantar fasciitis. Even with $40 insoles that I put in all my shoes. I can wear them for 2-3 hours before it's starts aching and eventually the pain moves all the way up mu IT band.... Again not really Ariats fault, but at the same time none of my other boots do this. That being said I bought these for work and I can't wear them to work so I kinda screwed myself.Much narrower than expected but after worn a few weeks became bearableFits well, the delivery was quick.First off I spent a considerable amount of time deciding if the Sierra workboot or Classic Roper by Ariat would suit me. I wanted a functional but good looking boot; multi-purpose for wearing about town or use for motorcycle riding. The Sierra arrived and I knew my decision was right. Great looking and comfortable just like other reviews described.I ordered 2 sizes (9 and 9.5) because the other sizing reviews had me undecided and wanted to be able to compare them side by side. In most shoes I'll wear a 9.5 wide or 10 D partially because my high arch and wide foot are a tough fit. Occasionally A 9 will fit my foot but my high arch makes most of them uncomfortable. In the Sierra the 9 fit (with light weight wool socks) - the arch was a bit snug on my bigger foot but I can tell it will stretch. I've found with western boots if it's looser initially it will become too loose and the heel will slide up and down. My conclusion is size down if you need to.Comfortable, thick leather that's broken in perfectly. I switch between this pair and Thorogood lace-ups. I rotate any and all shoes. Happiest the day I wear these, so easy to get on and off and the little movement that all these boots have in the heel is minimal which is always a problem area for me. Tried the square toe version which fit horribly tight at vamp. Will buy these again in a few years when they finally wear.To be clear, I have the unlined version, not waterproof and just leather on skin if you're wearing short socks for some reason. Still feels OK. Will probably get version with lining next go around. Ordered the "Workhog" boot at the same time as these to compare and these were more comfortable out of the box - likely due to different, stiffer sole with shank on the Workhog.
