I am very pleased with these shoes. I ordered a size 9.5 medium because as a woman wearing size 11 (women's medium), I have trouble finding shoes that fit right. I also need the rocker soles and high arch of the Skecher Shape Ups. However, some of the newer Shape Ups seem to lose some of the arch support -- they become too soft. This style is a work shoe and, from the product description and the reviews, it looks like the arch support will last with the construction of this style. After wearing it, both on the first 12-hour shift and after more than a week of use, I have much, much less joint pain -- whether I am spending most of my day standing or most of my time walking. Since I am a nurse and work at different types of jobs on different days this is important. The only slight drawback was that the shoes are tight in the width across the widest part of the foot, and there was noticeable rubbing on the sides of the little toes. It seems less now with wearing and was never bad enough to cause blisters. I was surprised that the shoes are as narrow as they are since a mens' medium width would normally be wider. A man should probably order the wide width.
